100% LIFETIME GUARANTEE
All pieces are milled out of 6061 aircraft aluminum.
This means they are tough and have the precision
accuracy that is dominating national competition. We
stand behind our product, giving you the security of a
100% Lifetime Guarantee. Warranty protects against all
manufacturers defects. (Fiber optics not included in
warranty.) Essentially you are investing in the last
sight you will ever need.
CENTERING - THE ADVANCED AIMING TECHNIQUE!
All Spot-Hogg sights come with round pin guards and
white alignment rings. We have found that centering your
pin guard in your peep is much more accurate and easier
to duplicate than trying to center a single pin. When
you center your pin guard, you are centering one circle
inside of a slightly larger circle making it easier to
tell when you are slightly off center.
Centering your guard will allow you to
use a larger peep than you might normally use, which is
an added benefit for hunters in those low light
situations.
Scope shooters have been using this idea for years.
After all, when have you ever seen a square scope? With
our round pin guard, you can have freestyle accuracy
with a pin sight
2ND AXIS
LEVELING
The majority of the sights on the market right now have
some type of level on them. Naturally, you would think
that these levels are installed square to the sight and
when you put it on your bow and hold it "level", it
should be level as well. NOT TRUE! We have spent
countless hours shimming sight mounts to get our sights
truly square to the riser. This frustrating practice led
us to take extra precautions when installing the levels
here at Spot-Hogg.
All of our levels are precisely installed in the pin guards making sure that the levels are square to the vertical wire. As an added bonus our Hogg-It and Hunter sights have a second axis adjustment. Just mount the sight on your bow, hold the riser level, and adjust the sight to match. If you shoot with a cant, you are going to love this feature. This is the first sight you can accurately adjust your level to match your cant.
While not all of our sights have the 2nd axis adjustment, don't worry because of the precise installation and machining process mentioned before, if your riser is square, your second axis should be set as well.
3RD AXIS LEVELING
3rd axis leveling is the squaring of your level, so that
the bow will be held in the same vertical plane for
flat, uphill, or downhill shots. If your 3rd axis is not
properly set, your level will lie to you, causing you to
cant your bow when shooting up or downhill. Resulting in
left and right arrows, no matter how good you executed
your shot.
Leveling your 3rd axis must be done at FULL DRAW. Bow vises and bench jigs are not accurate because they don't take into account the torque in the bows riser when it is drawn. A sight that is squared at rest will not be square at full draw, when aimed up or downhill due to the torque in the riser. Both the Hogg-It and Hunter models have a 3rd axis adjustment that allow you to level up your sight without the bothersome task of trying to shim your bow mount.
